WHAT IS BAPTISM?

Baptism is an outward, visible sign of an inward personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is a public and visible way for you to express your personal love, commitment and obedience to Christ. The act of baptism through water immersion symbolizes that we were buried with Christ and raised with Christ. 

When you go down into the water it symbolizes that you are buried with Christ, when you come out of the water it symbolizes that you are raised with Christ. 

In Colossians 2:12 Paul says, “You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith.”

If you trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, God sees you as having died with Christ, buried with Christ and being raised with Christ. If you are a follower of Christ, we encourage you to visibly express your personal relationship to Jesus by being baptized during worship service.
